The Sequoia Men’s Basketball team was set to avenge a January loss to rival Carlmont (1 of only 2 league losses on the year) but the Friday night rematch proved to be a dogfight once again. It wasn’t until a late N’Jai LeBlanc Jr. 3 and an acrobatic layup by Myles Nunez finally salted the contest away. LeBlanc Jr. led the Cherokees with 13, while JR C Ziggy Lauese came off the bench to add 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. JR swingman Kyle Pruhsmeier added the game’s most electric moment with an emphatic one-handed dunk that brought the capacity student-section to its feet. With the win, Sequoia improves to (19-4) (9-2 PAL South) with the regular season finale against Burlingame on Tuesday.
