It’s rivalry week in the PAL and as most members of Sequoia’s student body will attest, this Friday night’s tilt against cross-town Woodside might be the biggest contest of the year for the Cherokees.
Three straight losses leave Sequoia at 1-3 on the season, and in need of a strong league showing to catalyze their playoff hopes. The Cherokees will also look to snap a two-game skid against the Wildcats.
Sequoia is led by SR QB Nick DeMarco who is completing more than 60% of his passes and throwing for more than 200 yards per game. The rushing attack is led by a trio of backs, JRs Owen Tatola and Bryan Madrigal and SR Lea Brown, who combine for another 100+ yards per game on the ground.
