Game Summary

Sequoia used a pair of three run innings and a late 6th inning rally to come from behind to beat Burlingame 7-6 in the PAL opener for both squads. The Cherokees (7-1) (1-0) got back to back homeruns from SR 1B Chris Cook and JR C Kasi Pohahau in a 3-run 3rd that tied the game, and a 2-out, 3-run double from Cook in the bottom of the 6th to regain the lead. JR RHP Kyle Pruhsmeier then recorded a 1-2-3 7th to lock up his first save of the year. Pruhsmeier provided offensive help as well, going 3 X 4 with a pair of doubles while Cook and Pohahau each had multi-hit games. Sequoia and Burlingame are scheduled to go at it again Friday night at 7:00 PM at Washington Park.
