Right away, the Cherokees get past the Wildcats defense. Duncan Stewart scored the first touchdown with a diving, one-handed grab in the first quarter. Later in the first, Aia Brown scored from 20 yards out giving the Cherokees a 15 to 0 lead. In the third, Stewart scored another again. Woodside then took control, scoring four straight times to take a 28-22 advantage. With just 1:30 remaining, SR QB Nick DeMarco engineered the game’s final drive, hitting Stewart for a third TD connection, giving Sequoia a 29-28 win in the Redwood City Rumble.
