On Wednesday afternoon, SR Kyle Pruhsmeier finally made official what fans of the Sequoia Baseball community have known for some time: the 6’3 RHP and OF will play his college baseball with the Fresno State Bulldogs.
Pruhsmeier made 2nd team all-Peninsula Athletic league as a freshman and has been first-team in both his sophomore and junior seasons. During his career, he has amassed a .385 batting average, with 82 hits, scoring 53 runs and adding 46 RBI. He has gone 8-7 on the mound with a 1.60 ERA, though 4 of those losses came during his Freshman year. In 2016, Pruhsmeier set the Sequoia single-season ERA mark, posting a 5-0 record and a 0.58 ERA, only to lower that mark in 2017, posting a 0.53 ERA.
Pruhsmeier has also lettered for the Sequoia Varsity Basketball team as both a sophomore and junior and compiled a cumulative GPA over 3.0 during his time at Sequoia.
