Game Summary:

It had been 47 days since the Cherokees opened PAL Bay play with an 11-1 win over Capuchino, and it was starting to feel like a return to the win column just wasn’t going to be in the cards. But Sequoia got 4 solid innings from JR RHP Rhoan Tussy (1-2), and eight of nine starters banged out hits in a 13-2 win at Mills Monday afternoon. Tussy scattered six hits and struck out six, allowing two runs (0 earned) to earn his first Sequoia win. SO RHP Davin Leathers struck out four in two scoreless innings in his varsity debut and JR RHP McKinley DesBrisay pitched a scoreless seventh. FR 3B Ben Singler was 2 X 3 with 2 RBI and 2 Runs scored, while SO CF Nolan Doyle was on base four times, going 2 X 2 with an RBI, 2 Runs scored and two walks. The Cherokees improve to (3-17) (1-7 PAL Bay) and will look to spoil things for first-place Carlmont in a home-and-home series later this week.
