Cherokees News · Track and Field Goes to CCS

Nineteen Sequoia athletes competed at the CCS Track and Field trials on Saturday. All our athletes competed well at this extremely competitive meet where over 150 schools were represented.  Several athletes deserve special recognition:
Ryan Reed advanced to the CCS finals in the 100 m by running his second fastest time ever.
John Horan advanced to the CCS finals in the pole vault with his second highest lifetime clearance.
The boys 4×100 relay team of Jose Corpus, Eli Rodriguez, Nate Burrill and Ryan Reed ran a season best time.
The girls 4×400 relay team of Nicole Booker, Eva Gillet, Gabi Cattalini and Sarah Fazio ran a season best time by almost 4 seconds.
In addition to the athletes mentioned above, many of the other Sequoia athletes competing on Saturday achieved marks very close to their all time personal records.
Congratulations to all our track and field athletes for an outstanding season.
