Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we are now forced to stay inside and do nothing until the virus is handled. Due to this outbreak, we now have no sports. In my article I will be covering my top 5 most emotional sports moments.

5. Jose Fernandez Death

Jose Fernandez was a young pitcher for the Miami Marlins. He would rise up to be one of the best pitchers in the league. Then, one night he took out a boat and went cruising with two other friends. But, early in the morning it was found to see that Jose and his friends had a boating accident. At late night and early morning, Jose Fernandez and his friends were going super fast, and they ran into a rock. They were pronounced dead once found. Jose Fernandez was only 24.

4. Kevin Durants MVP Speech

Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the league. In 2014, he was named MVP. In his speech, he would name out each individual player and would thank them. Then he would talk about his mom, how she kept in shape and helping him achieve his goals. He mentions how she would skip meals for her kids, he would then finish his speech by saying, “You the real MVP”.

3. Derrick Rose MVP Speech

Derrick Rose is a point guard in the NBA. He won MVP for the 2010-2011 season. He would then talk about his mom and brothers the whole time. Mentioning that when he wouldn’t want to put in work, his mom would push him everyday to be great. He says that she did everything for their family.

2. Sean Taylor Death

Sean Taylor was a free safety for the Washington Redskins. Sean Taylor had such an impact on the game of football. They say he would be a hall of famer if his career didn’t cut short. Sean Taylor was murdered in florida. This was so devastating for football fans because of his passion for the game.

1. Mariano Rivera Retiring

Mariano Rivera is a retired closer for the New York Yankees. He was elected into the Hall of Fame with receiving a 100% of the votes. Him retiring was like taking away a piece of family away. When he was walking off the field after his last game, he was crying and saying thank you to the Yankee fans. The camera even showed the Yankee fans crying.
