The Sequoia Cross Country Team competed in the Scott Bauhs Invitational on September 28 at Shadow Cliffs Regional Park in Pleasanton. The Sequoia Cross Country Team competed in the Pacific Tiger Invitational on the Elkhorn Golf Course in Stockton on September 21. This event attracted over 100 schools and 4,000 athletes from around northern California competed in the invitational. The Sequoia Cross Country Team competed at the Lowell Invitational on Saturday. Over 70 schools and 3700 athletes from California competed at the meet. Sequoia had a total of 60 athletes competing at the meet all performed exceptionally well. Of the 34 Sequoia athletes who had run the course previously, 26 recorded new personal records
Sequoia’s Cross Country team has their first meet scheduled this Saturday September 7th. The first race starts at 9:00 AM at Golden Gate Park. Come and show your support.

2019 Sequoia HS Cross Country “Going the distance…” Welcome to the Sequoia Cross Country (XC) team! Our team is open to all who want to run and be part of a fun and enjoyable sport. Unlike some sports, we do not cut athletes who show up every day to practice, train consistently, and race.
Cross Country and Track Workouts will begin Monday, June 17, and will meet daily (Monday through Saturday) from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Please meet under the trees in front of the MPR. For the 8th consecutive year, the Sequoia Sports and Boosters Club put on its annual 5K run and tot trot through the residential neighborhoods around the high school. Sequoia students were joined by family members, community supporters and yes, even some of the youngest runners around. Congratulations to all of the division winners and participants!
